In the movie blade the theme of othering holds a huge role in this film. Not only with Blade himself but also with the character Frost. Blade being a human vampire hybrid himself is the ultimate other. He hunts vampires because his mother was turned to a vampire (or he believed to have been killed) so he hunts them to take revenge and help humans. Even toward middle of the film (which can be found here: https://arizona.hosted.panopto.com/Panopto/Pages/Viewer.aspx?id=54741b31-211b-422a-933c-8a5da8bb7ea3) Frost tells Blade that humans would never accept a half-breed like him. For the reason that he is an animal of sorts, an outsider to the outsiders. Frost on the other hand is also made to feel like an outsider, which is why he wants to become powerful. He is made to feel like an outsider by the council who dislikes him for not being a pure blood, for not being born a vampire. For that he wants to make himself into the ultimate other. By doing so he also wants to make vampire the dominant species rather than humans. Making humans the other. Its common the those in the other position want to become either in the position of power or want to create others of those who made them feel like outsiders. Similar to buffy the vampire slayer (can be found here https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x38j9yb_buffy-the-vampire-slayer-s1-e01-welcome-to-the-hellmouth_fun
) the one who felt like outsiders tried to become those who were seen as the majority. Which is what got them in trouble in that first episode when they were lead way by vampires and almost turned themselves. Similarly in the film Let the Right One In ( can be found here: http://www.veoh.com/watch/v197588916zB6HYeP ) The two young character feel like outsiders and therefor take out those made them feel that way i.e. the bullies. This is similar to Frost in that he destroyes those who make him feel like the other.
