No analysis articles, even on your blog. This is an information source, and I will not end up with the same problems as when I first adopted this wiki.
For context: After I first adopted this wiki and started cleaning it up, I found out from a user that a bunch of analysis articles were posted by students of possibly the most irresponsible teacher I have ever heard of, who thought assigning their students to vandalise a wiki with their homework assignments was a good idea. As a result, I got hundreds of articles talking about the same thing, a vandalised homepage, and for some reason a ton of people wanted to talk about Little Red Riding Hood (I even banned articles about little red on the wiki as a result of this)
This, of course, was EXTREMELY inappropriate, and led to hundreds of problems.
This is a DATABASE, not a homework forum.
I tried to be nice and say, "you can put them on your blog" but SCREW THAT. I'm already seeing profiles that look like the ones the students from the previous incident, and I WILL NOT PUT UP WITH IT AGAIN.
Any teacher who thinks it's ok to put homework assignments on a public wiki is unfit for any part of wikia.
You could have just have them turn crap in like a normal teacher instead of encouraging spam and vandalism
You could have had them all make an account on some blogging website like wordpress
You could have made a discord or slack channel for everyone to share on
You could have made your own wiki and left this one alone
The list goes on....
There are PLENTY of options that DON'T INVOLVE SPAMMING THIS WIKI
Anyhow, those who violated this rule before the change will not be blocked from the wiki, but continuing after this announcement will result in a block.
Sincerely, very fed up admin.
