Scooby-Doo! and the Legend of the Vampire is the animated direct-to-video movie starring Scooby-Doo.
Plot[]
There is a legend of a vampire named the Yowie Yahoo, who lives in Vampire Rock in the Australian outback where the "Vampire Rock Music Festival" is being set up. Many people are excited for it, but some don't think it should take place because it would anger the Yowie Yahoo. One such person is Malcolm Illiwara, but the problem is, his own grandson Daniel is the manager of the contest! One night, as Malcolm and his grandson watch a sure-to-win performer named Matt Marvelous, the Yowie Yahoo appears! The Yowie Yahoo and its three vampire minions capture Matt Marvelous and take him away. Everybody is scared, and Malcolm blames the contest for what happened.
Mystery Inc. are in Australia for vacation, after sightseeing in Sydney they decided to go to Vampire Rock and see the music festival. On the way, Scooby-Doo saw some red eyes through bushes and the gang encounters dingoes. When they get to the festival, they are excited to reunite with the Hex Girls. Having heard them stop playing, Daniel and his partner Russell arrive and explain that more performers are quitting after others keep disappearing. They explained that last year, a band named Wildwind disappeared, Malcolm believed they were kidnapped by the Yowie Yahoo and turned into vampires. Fred decides that the gang should go undercover as a band so that they will get kidnapped too.
The next day, they meet Jasper Ridgeway, the former manager of Wildwind. Now he manages the arrogant Bad Omens, Mystery Inc. believes they are the vampires hoping to win the competition. This theory is further supported when Velma found Wildwind stage costumes in Jasper's trailer. Meanwhile, Shaggy and Scooby checked out the concession stands and were attacked by the vampire minions. During the chase, the minions eat garlic, get covered in jewelry, and appear in mirrors. Eventually, they head towards the stage where the Bad Omens were performing, soon the Yowie Yahoo appeared as well. This proved that the Bad Omens were innocent.
Later that night, the gang met another competing band, Two Skinny Dudes, Barry and Harry. They were apparently exploring Vampire Rock, but they didn't see any vampires there. Malcolm says the Yowie Yahoo could only be defeated with light and insists that they cancel the music festival. Soon the Hex Girls get kidnapped, leading the gang to the caves of Vampire Rock where they discover a hidden passage leading to a secret warehouse filled with special effects equipment. Outside, Shaggy and Scooby are attacked by the dingoes, the rest are ambushed by the vampire minions. The Yowie Yahoo then appeared shooting fireballs at them. When the sun was coming up, the light reflected off of Scooby's dog tag and destroyed the Yowie Yahoo. The dingoes howled making Scooby an honorary dingo. However, the minions were still alive, but with the help of Daniel they were caught in a trap.
The vampire minions were Two Skinny Dudes and Russell, who were actually Wildwind in masks. They wanted to make a comeback, but it was against the rules for a band to enter the competition twice, so they faked they're disappearances and "became" vampires. They wanted to make Two Skinny Dudes the winner then perform themselves. The other competitors were sent to a scuba diving trip to the Great Barrier Reef, except the Hex Girls who were found by Malcolm in the outback. It was also revealed that the Yowie Yahoo was just a hologram projection they created. Since all the other competitors were technically out, Daniel says that Mystery Inc. wins the competition by default, so they perform at the festival with the Hex Girls by singing the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You Theme Song.
