Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror is a 2023 American horror film directed by David Lee Fisher, serving as a modern reinterpretation of F. W. Murnau's iconic 1922 silent film Nosferatu. Staying true to the haunting atmosphere of the original while incorporating contemporary filmmaking techniques, the remake aims to introduce a new generation to the legendary vampire tale. The film had its world premiere on November 11, 2023, at the Emagine Theater in Novi, Michigan, where it was showcased to audiences ahead of its wider release.

Production[]

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, which concluded on December 3, 2014, the film officially entered production. On April 13, 2016, it was announced that Doug Jones had been cast as Count Orlok and that principal photography had commenced. The film employed an innovative technique in which live-action footage was combined with colorized backgrounds from the original film using green screen technology. This approach was previously utilized by director David Lee Fisher in his 2005 remake of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.
