Julius Jones is a former hustler in the 1995 horror comedy Wes Craven film Vampire in Brooklyn. By the start of the film he acts as a servant to Maximillian but he eventually becomes a vampire himself in the end.
He was portrayed by Kadeem Hardison.
History[]
Julius worked at the docks alongside his uncle, Silas Green, who was the ship inspector. While on duty an abandoned ship crashed into the harbor. In shock Julius runs off leaving his uncle to explore the ship, and finds it full of corpses. Julius would soon accidently run into Italian-American mobsters whom he owed. They would chase him down to an alley where they were going to kill him. Before they can, they are interrupted by the vampire Maximillian (who arrived from the ship) who kills the mobsters and hunts down Julius as he runs away.
Julius is then found by Maximillian and he infects Julius with his vampiric blood, thereby making Julius he's ghoul servant, and explains that he has come to Brooklyn in search of the Dhampir daughter of a vampire from his native Caribbean island in order to live beyond the night of the next full moon.
Throughout the film, Julius does all of Max's bidding, including driving him in a limousine (that Julius stole from a funeral home) around and transporting his coffin. Julius at times would intervene when he wasn't suppose to and was severely punished by Max. Overtime Julius slowly begins to rot and decay as he slowly became more ghoulish.
After Max is killed, Julius, now completely decayed. He along with his uncle decide to ride in his former master's limousine. He finds Max's ring and puts it on, instantly transforming him into a fully intact member of the undead. Overjoyed Julius and Silas drive around town as Julius becomes the new vampire in Brooklyn.
