The Churel (CHUR-el) also spelled as Charail, Churreyl, Chudail, Chudel, Chuṛail, Cuḍail or Cuḍel (Hindi: चुड़ैल, Urdu: چڑیل) is a mythical or legendary creature resembling a woman, which may be a demoniacal revenant said to occur in South Asia and Southeast Asia, particularly popular in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
In India, when a woman dies an unnatural death or in childbirth during the five-day Festival of Diwali, she returns as a revenant vampire (on another time of the year, she returns as another type of undead).
The Churel is really ugly in its true form, having backward-facing feet; a black tongue; sagging breasts; thick, rough lips; and wild hair. It can shapeshift into a beautiful woman but sometimes carries a lantern.
It's primary victims will be the male line of its own family starting with youngest and most handsome man. While it drinks blook the effect to turn the victim into an old man. When it uses up its family it goes on the road luring others to the same fate as its family.
