This 1974 Hammer film was planned to be the first in a series of films involving Captain Kronos and his companion, the hunchback Hieronymus Grost but the series never materialized.
The general premise was there were "as many species of vampire as there are beasts of prey".
The vampire in this picture breaks with the traditional tropes of movie vampires; it drains youth, not blood, it can be active in daylight, has no fear of crosses, casts a reflection, and is unaffected by impalement with a stake. It is, however, vulnerable to a cross made of iron or material made from such a cross.
